Within a people-oriented and creative environment, you will have the chance to play a key part in our day-to-day operations by providing outstanding support to various key areas.

The Role

As a Team Assistant, you will work as part of a team of four to deliver support for two vital elements of our organisation. Specifically, you will divide your time between our Division and Groups functions and our Young Members operation.

Acting as the central point-of-contact for internal and external enquiries, you will be responsible for answering calls and maintaining volunteer roles with accuracy.

Within the Divisions and Groups function, you will:

- Support all 44 divisions and groups, arranging meetings, sending email invitations and booking meeting resources including catering facilities where necessary
- Prepare meeting administration, such as the preparation of papers, presenting information and creating and printing name tags
- Collate receipts, process member expenses, submit them to the finance department and enter the data onto a spreadsheet for budgeting purposes

Working with the Young Members function, you will:

- Help to organise four meetings per year
- Support the administration and running of projects such as awards
- Provide a project admin/co-ordination service
- Cover minute taking activities in meetings

About You

To join us as a Team Assistantr, you’ll need:

- Experience in customer service and administration
- Minute taking experience
- A good level of IT literacy and competence in developing, administering and using a PC, including the use of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Superb people and relationship management abilities
- An empathetic, organised and proactive approach

Budget control experience would be beneficial to your application, as would a degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience). Experience of working in a membership organisation or the volunteer sector would be equally desirable.
