We’re now looking for an International Operations Executive to join us and ensure our international framework, which supports IMechE members based across the globe, continues to be a success.

The Role

As an International Operations Executive, you’ll support our international network, which will include managing our volunteer committees and structures.

This role will facilitate activities to support our International Strategy Board (ISB), which will include helping to develop business plans, as well as budgets, monitoring and reporting systems for our international network.

The other key aspect of your work will focus on supporting projects and programmes to harness the power of our volunteers, ensuring they have a fantastic experience with us and are recognised for their amazing contributions.

Additionally, you will:

- Support our international engagement activities, including events such as Student Chapters and the Engineering Design Solutions Global Challenge
- Build strong relationships with IMechE members and volunteers, ensuring cultural, language, economic and political sensitives are respected
- Organise meetings with stakeholders, including co-ordinating meeting rooms and catering
- Perform a range of administrative tasks
- Travel internationally to attend meetings

About You

To join us as an International Operations Executive, you will need:

- Experience of providing a first rate, customer-focused service to internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience of managing and supporting volunteers 
- Experience of taking responsibility for budgets and routine financial transactions
- Previous experience of producing clear, concise and timely minutes of meetings and dealing with complex and technical concepts
- Excellent organisational skills 
- A high level of IT literacy, including using PC and associated networks and systems (such as MS Office) to acquire, manipulate and disseminate data and information
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
