Job Title: Cafe Team Leader

Location: Belfast City Centre

Contract: Fixed term for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension

Responsible To: Skills Coach

Objective: To supervise the day to day running of a busy Café



Job Description:
- Opening the café, prepping and setting up for service
- Cashing up at the end of shift, reconciling tills and balancing
- Staff direction and overseeing the smooth running of the café on a daily basis
- Ensuring all necessary tasks are complete e.g. cleaning schedule, temperature checks, daily ordering, staff presentation and professionalism
- Performing any task in a professional manner and leading the team from the front
- Liaising with line manager about staff performance, areas of weakness and levels of business
- Must be able to work unsupervised in a fast paced environment
- Must be fully flexible to the needs of the business
- Ensuring high standards of Health & Safety are maintained at all times
- Being aware of and adhering to all Usel’s Policies and Procedures

Person Specification:
Essential:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Fantastic interpersonal, communication and coaching skills
- Minimum 1 year’s supervisory experience
- The ability to carry out tasks quickly and competently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A positive “can do” attitude that is solution focused

Desirable:
- Food Safety Level 2
- Experience working in a Café
- Experience working with people that have a disability

Pay
- £9.50 per hour
