Our success over recent years has seen the business grow and create this opportunity for an extra Quality Inspector to work within a small team inspecting incoming goods, sub-assemblies, and finished goods.

We are looking for someone to become an expert in spotting and identifying defects of many different categories in our high-precision glass vial sensor products, metalwork, and final assemblies. You will use a range of tools such as microscopes, electronic imaging equipment, digital calipers, computer databases etc.

You will be trained on all aspects of the role:

• Product training – what the product is, what it does, how it works, and how it is made.
• Potential defects – you will be shown what defect categories there are, and how to look for them.
• Using all equipment and computer systems.

You will also learn many other transferable skills within the manufacturing industry:

• Continuous Improvement process
• “5S” methodology
• Lean manufacturing concept
• Equipment maintenance

Must Have's:

• Good written and spoken English
• Basic maths skills
• Basic computer skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to understand technical terms and specifications
• Ability to understand technical drawings and dimensions
• Comfortable with working independently, as well as in a close-knit team.
• Be dextrous
