We are currently looking for an ICorr Trainer to join our brilliant team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Your role

As an ICorr Trainer, you’ll be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality Institute of Corrosion (ICorr) courses and training to students.

In this key role, you will train students in ICorr disciplines you are qualified in. Ideally, these will include Painting Inspector Levels 1, 2 & 3, Pipeline Coatings Inspector, Insulation Inspector, Passive Fire Protection (PFP) Inspector and Hot Dip Galvanising Inspector.

You will have the chance to train and gain new certifications and enhance your training abilities. You will also share your knowledge with team members and contribute to team development.

Specifically, you will:

- Deliver a high standard of ICorr training
- Update and develop training and learning course materials in collaboration with ICorr
- Review and assess students’ work
- Invigilate and mark examinations, ensuring awarding body standards are met
- Provide constructive and critical feedback on all training activities

About You

To join us as an ICorr Trainer, you will need:

- The ability to communicate and engage with students and training partners
- Demonstrable organisational and time management skills
- The confidence, creativity and enthusiasm to plan and deliver lessons
- Excellent teamworking and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- To be qualified in a range of ICorr methods
- At a minimum, an ICorr Level 2 Painting Inspector qualification, however, consideration will be given to those holding NACE, BGAS, Frosio and SSPC Level 2 qualifications
- The willingness to train and upgrade to ICorr Level 3, if not already held
- The willingness to travel to other IMechE sites which may require occasional overnight stays
