We are now seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Sheffield on a 12 month contract, covering a period of maternity leave.

The Role

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the accounts payable ledger.

Working closely with the accounts receivable clerk, you will ensure financial records are maintained to a high standard and resolve any queries in a professional and timely manner.

You will process multi-currency invoices, match and code supplier invoices, as well as processing staff expenses and company credit cards and preparing and posting intercompany transactions.

Your role will also involve:

- Issuing remittance advice
- Complying with month end closing timetable
- Reconciling supplier statements

About You

To be considered as an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will need:

- Experience working in a similar role demonstrating a high level of customer care
- Experience of influencing others
- Good administration, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and a diplomatic and sensitive approach
- Exceptional numeracy skills
- E-literate and competent in developing, administering and using PC and associated networks and systems

Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central accounts systems and Concur would be beneficial to your application, as would having completed, or currently studying towards, a formal accountancy qualification.

The ability to analyse, solve problems and work flexibly would also be advantageous, as would a high degree of professionalism, honesty, and integrity with a ‘can do’ attitude.
