Title: Skills Coach Pre-Employment (Circular Economy)
Location: Based at our Ballymena premises, but with travel across N Ireland
Contract: Fixed Term until 31st March 2022
Responsible To: ESF Project Manager
Objective: Responsible for the co-ordination, supervision and skills development of ESF STRIDE project participants within the USEL circular economy operation.

Job Description:

-Be responsible for the coordination, supervision, training and on the job skills development of ESF STRIDE participants within USEL’s manufacturing/circular economy operation.
-To teach participants the vocational skills required to work within the USEL manufacturing/circular economy operation.
-Be responsible for the on-going development of practical skills development plans for project participants
-Contribute to action plans and progress review meetings with participants and Employment Services Officers (ESO’s)
-Ensuring all work levels are being maintained and targets achieved
-Working with the management team to identify areas for continuous improvements
-To observe appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems and processes to ensure all activities are appraised and reviewed regularly.
-To ensure all internal ISO 9001-2015 quality standards are, implemented, monitored and reviewed in own area of responsibility.
-To ensure employees adhere to all statutory and company Health & Safety standards, rules and regulations
-To ensure employees adhere to all environmental standards
-To be aware of and ensure all Usel’s Policies and Procedures are adhered to by employees
-To undertake any training identified that will enable further development
-Work as part of a team to provide proactive and reactive support to participants requiring additional help throughout their participation on the project
-Liaise with project training team to ensure appropriate job specific and transferable qualifications are delivered for project participants
-Keep up to date and accurate records of all skills development activities
-Performing any other duties as required by the line manager and that are commensurate with the grade of the post



Person Specification
Essential:
-At least 1 years, gained in the last 3 years, in a supervisory role within a circular economy/recycling environment
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including strong presentation skills
-Proven strong problem-solving abilities
-Proven effective organisational and time management abilities
-IT literate
-Results-focused with ability to work on own initiative
-Flexible approach to ensure business needs are met
-Access to a car or be able to meet the mobility requirements of the post

Desirable:
-Knowledge of the needs of people with a disability or people with health conditions within an employment setting.
-NEBOSH Diploma
-Ability to work in, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
-Knowledge of the ISO Integrated Management System

-Salary: £22,107 – £24,882
